Good morning everyone! So glad you joined me today!

Today I am sharing with you a page I made about my faith. I am very rooted in the word of God and have a very strong faith, but I always am humbled by how very much I have to learn.

Here is God's definition of faith from Hebrews, and the world's definition from the dictionary. Somewhat similar aren't they?

I love how this verse says so much in so little. It is the assurance of things hoped for but not seen. God created the universe with His word. Out of nothing he created something. Which to me describes the awesome power of God. If he can do that, I can't even fathom what he can do in my life.

The dictionary definition is telling in that it says complete trust, not trust when its convenient or when it suits me, complete trust. So in ALL things trust in the Lord. If God can move (or create) mountains, I think God can handle all my problems.

I also think it's interesting to note the second definition that says it is based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof because I have seen "proof" of God a number of times in my life. I have seen miracles happen. I have seen things happen that are unexplainable, in life and in people. Where the world says coincidence or luck, I say God.

So moving on to details of the layout, the base paper is Heidi Swapp color magic. If you haven't been able to tell, I am trying to use up all of my stash (because I have WAY too much stuff) and have been dipping into it a lot lately. YAY! The large black letters are from a Studio Calico kit from last year. And that's the gist of the page. Pretty simple but beautiful.

Thanks for joining me and have an awesome day!

Good Morning!

Happy Monday to you.

I am here today to share with you a project I have been working on involving some Prom pictures that may or may not have been taken a way long time ago. Better late than never! I used a project by Jamie Pate as an inspiration. Some pages look similar to hers and some are different because I used what I have! I loved the combination of black and white with my daughter's beautiful red prom dress.

So first up is the outside. I started with a Heidi Swapp memory file and then just layered on top of that. I started with a sheet of the color magic paper that I sprayed with tinsel color shine, then layered an empty photo frame with my title in it. I sprayed some white seam binding ribbon with tinsel color shine and put it on top of the photo frame. I also rubbed the edges of a heart and an arrow with black color shine and mounted those on top. I added two small pieces of washi tape and a clear banner to finish off the front cover.

On the left side, I started by adhering a piece of color shine paper that I sprayed with black color shine and then painted with white acrylic paint. I then used a standard 4x6 photo and added another heart and arrow that I edged with black color shine. I also added a title that I had in my stash. On the right side, I again started with a sheet of color shine paper that I sprayed with black and painted with white acrylic paint. I then layered on top of that a sort of flip book. The top page is a color magic frame that I attached a #grateful clear tag on the bottom with staples.

When you flip that first page open, I sprayed the back of the frame with black color shine and covered the binding mechanism I used for my book with a strip of washi tape. The right side is simply a 4x6 picture trimmed down to fit the back of the frame.

On the back of the picture, I adhered a piece of scrap paper I had on hand, a Heidi Swapp flag from my stash, two strips of washi tape, and some color shine arrows sprayed with black color shine. On the right side, I put a picture with a color shined bow at the top adhered with a small binder clip.

On the back of the picture, I put a color shine tag, sprayed with tinsel, with two black color shine hearts and an arrow under the back of the binder clip. On the right side, I have a color shine tag, sprayed with black color shine, placed horizontally with a picture on it.

On the back left, I have adhered another color magic tag sprayed with black color shine. On the right. I used a piece of color magic paper left plain and adhered a loved clear tag first, then I layered on a label, an empty photo frame, two color pop banners, some flowers from my stash, and a sprayed arrow. I then layered my photo on top. I did not photograph the last page as it has my journaling on it. But I simply adhered a Midnight Project Life journaling card that fit with the theme. I journaled about where we bougth the dress and how beautiful she looked. I stamped the date and called it done.

Hope you have enjoyed my latest project! Have an awesome day!
